This was a repacking and reissue of the 1968 album 'Cutler Of The West'. The cassette was released in March 1980 alongside the vinyl album of the same name on the Music For Pleasure label (a subsidiary label belonging to EMI) in stereo, catalogue number TC-MFP 50476.
This design of cassette shell was introduced in early 1977 and was produced in both grey and cream coloured plastic. The text was printed directly onto the cassette body in blue (as in this image), red or black ink. As can be seen on the images below the tape was produced with the Dolby noise reduction system to improve the quality of the sound when played on suitable players (noticeably to reduce the hiss associated with tape playback).
This album release appears to be only found in the grey and cream shells with blue text.
The MFP label at this time produced cassettes with a thick card 'wrap-around insert' that attached to the outside of the cassette case. A small part of the original album artwork was preserved, with the album details being printed on a black header and footer. It was printed by Garrod & Lofthouse (who also produced the vinyl album sleeve).
